So, our little one is the size of an apple this week, approximately 4 inches long. Which would explain the slightest of fluttery feelings I am starting to notice in my belly, mostly in the evenings when I am lying on my side. This would also explain the need for the transition to maternity pants. Too bad you can't wear Old Navy yoga pants at all times.
Sidenote: Anyone know why "they" always use fruit as the examples for what size the baby is? You'd think "they'd" stick with non food examples for us pregnant women. Although an apple is pretty benign. But a softball would be even better.
My food cravings continue to include pink lemonade and pink lemonade. Lots of pink lemonade. The more sour the better. And I've officially gained one pound so far. Woot. Woot.
The baby can now squint, frown, pee, and possibly suck its thumb. It also has fingerprints.
Amazing.
Absolutely amazing.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well."
Psalm 139:13-14
