In the mail this afternoon came our official USCIS approval.
This is otherwise known in adoption circles as our I-171H - Notice of Favorable Determination Concerning Application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition.
Quite the mouthful, huh.
This means that the US government has placed their stamp of approval (if you will) for us to adopt. A very BIG step in this process.
Almost exactly three months to the day we "officially" started this adoption process we are finished our home study, our dossier is complete, and we have our US Government approval!
Now, this next part...
The waiting part.
The part I have no control over.
Sigh.
Not so excited about.
I know the Lord's timing is always perfect and I choose to rest in that.

Woohoo! We're still waiting on our USCIS approval. My husband's fingerprints were cleared, but mine were rejected. They are re-sending another set and hopefully I will be cleared this time. Otherwise I will have to fly back to Ankara (where our closest US embassy is) to be fingerprinted again. Not fun!
Wooohooo!!! Hey, have you and the Johnson's considered opening up a paypal acct. on your blogs to raise money for the adoptions?
Congrats! I just found your blog. We are with AAI as well.
APPROVED!!! Signed, sealed, delivered.
CONGRATS to your family!
We are waiting on our approval to...hope to get it after the New Year.
Yeah.... it so good to be at this part. Hoping and praying that you have a peace about the next part and it goes fast.
