I had this big long post planned to share about how God has provided for our adoption.
But I just deleted it all and decided to keep it simple.
When we first started our adoption journey we were sure of only a few things:
1) God had called us to adopt.
2) He was going to have to provide.
We have since added a third sure thing:
3) Money is never an issue with God.
A surprise $20 check in the mail. A loving family giving a percentage of their income to support our adoption week after week. An unexplainable (by earthly measures) successful yard sale. An anonymous gift. And the latest...a surprise yes to an adoption grant we applied for (way back in November) for double the amount of the average grant.
Why do I write this?
Because I want to encourage you that If you are holding back from doing something the Lord is calling you to do because of money...
Don't.
You are fully funded by our heavenly Father who owns all the cattle on all the hills to do everything he has called you to do.
You don't even have to believe me.
Actually, please don't just believe me.
Look these up: Phil 4:19, Psalm 50:10, Matthew 6:33, Deut 8:18, Romans 8:32, Psalm 37: 4-5, Luke 12:28, Psalm 84:11, 1 John 5:14-15, and John 16:24...just to get started.
