The Summer of Fun 2013 (the approved and unapproved lists)

This year, we apparently have 2 lists going for our 2013 Summer of Fun.

Planning for this list is serious business around here.

I would term the first one the approved list.
Here it is in all its bulleted glory:

  • Pick blueberries
  • Wade in a creek
  • Fly a kite
  • Go to the beach
  • Have a lemonade stand
  • Catch lightning bugs
  • Roast s'mores
  • Camp out
  • See fireworks
  • Get sno cones
  • Make and pass out more "God loves you" bags for our local homeless friends
  • Keep a summer journal
  • Find a new park
  • Visit an art museum
  • Go to a local VBS
  • Go fishing
  • Bike the American Tobacco Trail
  • Grow a vegetable garden
  • Ride a go-cart
  • Go to a zoo
  • See a movie in a theatre
  • Dissect something
  • Go to a baseball game
  • Play in the rain
  • Go for a boat ride
  • Visit Meme and Poppee
  • Visit Nana and PawPaw
  • Create a collage
  • Go to an amusement park
  • Make homemade popsicles
  • Do a sewing project
  • Learn how to finger knit
  • Have lots of playdates with friends
  • Learn how to tie shoelaces
  • Participate in a reading program
  • Make a pie
  •
  •
  •
  •

Please note that I left a few spots open at the end to account for all the last minute unplanned experiences of fun, ha!

The 2nd list I would term the unapproved list.
Thank you to friends, Daddy, and the imaginations of my children for coming up with this one:

  • Get a black eye
  • Bungee jump
  • Ride a dirt bike
  • Swim with a shark
  • Hop a train
  • Get big muscles
  • Sleep on the streets
  • Run from the police
  • Win an arm wrestling competition
  • Smoke on the tobacco trail
  • Grow arm pit hair

Yeah, um...not so sure about any of the unapproved list getting accomplished, but one never really does know!

Oh yes, Summer of Fun 2013 we are so ready for you...lets do this!
