I - Not my pastor. Not my husband. Not my parents. Not my kids. The buck stops here, with me. I am responsible for asking. I am not dependent on anyone else to ask for me.
keep asking - Persistence. I don't give up. I don't become satisfied. Ever.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, our glorious Father - Know who I am asking! I am not asking a middle man or someone with a little bit of power or a little bit of love for me...I am asking the creator of the universe! Keep a right view of who God is.
may give you - I can't earn it but I do have to accept it.
the spirit of wisdom and revelation - Wisdom isn't a set of facts or knowledge, esoterically applied. It is housed within a spirit, within me.
so that you may know Him better. - The purpose of wisdom is to know Christ better. It's not to be smart or make better decision or to look good or achieve success or to do good works. It is simply to know Him better. Everything else is a chasing after the wind.
