We discovered (thanks to a tip from the original owners of the farm) a grove of 6 loaded apple trees this weekend...4 red delicious and 2 granny smith.
This one kept Ezra entertained all night until we finally had to take it away at bedtime.
It's a ball...it's food...it's a ball...it's food...2 of his favorites all wrapped into one =)
Anyone know any good apple recipes?

I like to cut apples and carrots together...about 50/50. Mix some raisins in, and some honey....and bake it. It makes a great baked dish for the Fall, and it smells great cooking too!
You could always make some applesauce in the blender...freeze some maybe?
I'll come help you eat a pie or two...need me to bring some ice cream?
I like to dehydrate them. Great, healthy snack!
Tasha, how do you dehydrate them? Do you have to have one of those machines?
Hey Jenn,
My mom used to slice them and freeze them, soak them in salt water so they don't turn brown and toss them in a freezer bag or freezer containers. You can pull them out to make apple pies (I will come along with Kelly!) applesauce or just munch on them half frozen in front of your favorite tv show, much better than popcorn! ;-) apple butter is also REALLY good and you can make it and put into jelly jars, seal and keep through the whole winter.mmmm good!! I have a recipe if you want to make that. It can be made in the crock pot too! ;-) Great christmas gifts! Small jar of applebutter and a frsh loaf of homemade bread...you are creative you can think of all kinds of things to add to that. apple cider is good this time of year too!
Hey! Maybe we should use some of those green apples for decoration instead of limes : )
