Beyond Baby Brain

With all my pregnancies I had pretty severe cases of baby brain...absentmindedness I would blame on being pregnant.

I would walk into a room and have absolutely no clue why I went there. Call friends and forget why I called. Send my husband back to the grocery store for the bag of items I just knew I had left in my cart...then find those items sitting right where they were supposed to be in my pantry.

Then there was the time I tried to make a milkshake in a vase.

You know, things like that.

Well, I've decided that the same phenomenon that caused my baby brain applies when going through an adoption as well.

I shaved only one leg last week. Forgot to bring my coupons to the store with me. Walked into numerous rooms only to forget why I was supposed to be there. Started numerous conversations only to lose my train of thought in the middle of them.

We are only weeks into the process too!

As long as I don't get a hankering for a milkshake I should be ok.

Did you actually try to make a milkshake in a vase? That made me laugh out loud! :)

The milkshake was an all-time favorite of mine=)

And I believe you only shaved 1 leg last night. I knew you sounded a little out of it on the phone last night, HA!

HAHA!! Love it. I guess God uses that 'baby brain' to prepare us for the new baby in the house, whether through pregnancy or through adoption! Pretty cool...so...does that mean you are going to put my camera somewhere crazy and forget where it is?
