thursday thoughts

While we are still getting used to the whole neighborhood thing, one big perk of living in a neighborhood is fun things like a neighborhood easter egg hunt. Which we participated in last weekend.

Ezra became "that kid" that I had to instruct not to knock over little kids in his eagerness to get the eggs. Eli was smart and picked up all the eggs at the entrance that everyone else looked over in their rush. Zoe pooped out of her diaper and Ella morphed into a beautiful butterfly...

We got a new swing for our backyard patio.

It is now officially my favorite spot. And the kids (and the neighborhood kids!) seem to like it too. It folds down flat like a bed and is a perfect spot for book reading, lounging with friends, and coffee with the husband. I'm pretty sure it would be a perfect nap spot as well, if one had time for such things.

Zoe has a new trick. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but she has repeated it too many times for it to be mearly a fluke. She bobs her head to music. Music coming from her siblings or music from one of her toys...she starts swaying her head side to side. Cutest thing ever!

I realize I will have to prove this with a video now, however, the presence of my big black camera seems to distract her from her trick as she becomes all engaged in getting to my camera whenever it makes its appearance.

For the moment a picture of our drooly mcdroolerson will have to suffice...

On another note...

If you are in the area and looking for a super fun way to spend a saturday afternoon with your family (how's that for a set up?!)...

Our church is hosting a community easter egg hunt. Thousands of eggs have been stuffed, faces will be painted, food will be served, bounces houses will be inflated, and of course, yours truly will be there. Come on out and join us!

Go here for more directions and more info if interested!

Happy Thursday!

Ella's butterfly is beautiful, the swing look like it could bring some magnificent family time, and I love Zoe's droolface. :) Hope you guys had a sweet Easter!
