November is National Adoption Month.
In honor, I have planned some posts to answer some of the most frequently asked questions we have been getting:
- Why Adopt?
- Why Ethiopia?
- Why Adoption Advocates International?
- Details: Boy? Girl? Baby? Toddler? One? Two?
- When will you bring them home?
I'd love to answer any questions you might have...feel free to leave them in the comments!

Jenn,As i look back on when mom,and dad adopted tanner 22 years ago he came to us 8 weeks later, and the neat thing was that he was not too far from us! God has blessed u all with adopting from another country, and i am praying that God will allow me to adopt from who knows where someday! I am praying 4 u all as a family, and individuals as well! tanner, doesnt know about his birth family's medical history, and he only knew our dad 18 months when he died of cancer it was sad that didnt know any male role models except at church,or family members that lived far away!
Here's my question... How do you narrow down the agency, or who to do your home study???
I have researched and researched, I think I'm more overwhelmed.
Can't wait to read your posts!
October 25, while we were at Disney World, we celebrated the kids' official "Adoption Day". Our process was final 2 years ago that day. Time flies. I know our story is very different from yours, but adoption month celebrates all of our families. We are having some new problems just this week, but I know they are both where they are supposed to be. You'll know that too.
