I set off for the library this afternoon after sending out one more search party for the lost "Gingerbread Man" book. I explained at the front desk my situation and then (very nicely) asked, "Is it possible that the book was somehow missed when the other books were checked in?"
She said that sometimes happens and that she would put a notice in to look for it. She also is having all the other Durham Co Libraries look for it too. She stopped the fine for me until we know more...whew!
