Well...
I didn't throw up. Therefore I will call the day a success =)
Seriously, the yard sale went great!
Jeremiah and I both wrote down our estimates of what we thought we would be able to make...sort of a friendly competition to see who could guess the closest.
We also said (dreamily) that it would incredible if we could earn enough to send in our I6OOA.
For those of you not up on your adoption lingo, an I600A is a form you have to file with the US government to gain a sort of "approval" to adopt internationally.
It is not a cheap form to file.
In fact, our estimates were four times LESS than the amount we needed to file our I600A.
You can probably see where I am going with this...
When we counted our money up at the end of the sale we ended up earning the amount we needed to file. EXACTLY.
It sounds funny to say that the Lord worked in the midst of a yard sale...but there is no other explanation for us earning not just four times the amount we thought we would...but earning the EXACT amount to proceed to the next step of our adoption.
A huge thank you Josh and Kristen...our amazing friends who let us use their yard for the sale, let the kids spend the night with them last night, kept them all day and took them to the museum and out for happy meals! Thank you Emily for your help!
Sorry about the melt down in the bathroom =)
Thank you to RJ, one of Grey Stone's high school students who gave up his entire Saturday to help out and be an extra pair of hands today!
Thank you to those of you who donated items for us to sell!
Thank you Lord for revealing to us once again that you are so faithful.
