This is our second year attempting a traditional passover meal, called a seder.
Now an authentic seder includes the following foods:
Red Wine
Matzah or unleavened bread
Roasted lamb bone
Bitter herbs: Horseradish
Apples and nuts
Hard boiled eggs
Salt water
Green vegetables: parsley
Our interpretation of it included:
Sparkling grape juice
Crackers
Roasted chicken in bitter herbs (aka: italian seasonings)
Applesauce
Hard boiled eggs
Broccoli as the green vegetable
Before eating we held a simple foot washing ceremony, following the example of Jesus in the last supper. While I don't think the kids quite understood the significance of it...someday they will.
About Me
Jesus follower. After that I'm happily married, mom to four, homeschooler, traveler, photographer, and never one to turn down a good cup of coffee.
