Frugal Summer Ideas

With the coming of June and warmer weather it seems as though Summer is here to stay!

Ella and Ezra are both at such a fun age...and I am really looking forward to being able to do more with them this summer.

In addition to our normal weekly library trips and museum days...I've been doing some research on free or nearly free things for us to do this summer and I thought I'd pass along two of my favorite findings:

Free Bowling: AMF lanes are participating in the Kids Bowl Free summer promotion. Children under 15 can bowl 2 games a day for free! Click here to find out if there is an AMF in your area and if they are participating. (There doesn't seem to be a limit on the number of children that can participate as long as they are in one household...so MOM, you should look into this!)

Free Movies: Most movie theaters participate in some version of free or cheap G or PG rated films that play during the day throughout the week in the summer. You can check out some of the available schedules here. I'm not sure Ezra would make it through a whole movie, but it would make for a fun daddy date idea for Ella and Jeremiah!

Now if only I could find a free pool to go to we'd be set =)

Feel free to pass on any free or cheap summer activities ideas you have discovered!
